STEP 1: Creating a Researcher Desktop or Research Server machine

1. Login to RCP (Note that you need to be connected to the University's VPN when accessing the Portal off campus).

2. Follow RCP’s on-screen instructions and create a Windows Researcher Desktop or Research Server.

3. Click “Open“ and download the .rdp file from the RCP.

4. Login using your UoM credentials.

STEP 2: Installing NVivo 20 on the machine

1. Look up “Software Center” from the Start Menu.

2. Click and Open “Software Center“.
   

   

3. Search for 'Nvivo' in the search bar.
   

   

4. Click on “QSR NVivo 20.6.1.113“ then click Install.
   

   

5. Let the installation complete, it may take a few minutes.
   

   

6. Once the installation is complete you may be able to locate the new NVivo icon in the Start Menu. Open the application.
