The Secure Research Environment (SRE) is a protected virtual desktop infrastructure with on premises storage and scalable computational resources suitable for storing and managing sensitive research data. It provides secure and governed access to datasets that are classified as ‘Red’ by the Research Data Classification Framework, or that have specific data security requirements that cannot be met by other available research systems.
