DaRIS

Distributed and Reflective Informatics System - a biomedical imaging data management application, primarily used for working with data from imaging scanners like MRI and PET/CT.

You can upload biomedical imaging data directly from imaging scanners, store, manage and curate it in the DaRIS web interface, and then dispatch it to other systems for computation (and then return it back into DaRIS). Key capabilities include:

  • upload all sorts of imaging data in all sorts of ways (from DICOM data direct from a scanner, to raw data via specialised upload clients per scanner type)

  • organise data into fixed, meaningful subject-oriented structures

  • transfer data into and out of DaRIS easily, converting formats as needed (e.g. from DICOM to NIfTI)

  • upload, download and query data via APIs (application programming interfaces)

  • dispatch uploaded data to computational environments like Spartan and return processed data back

  • tightly control access to every aspect of the system and every datum

  • audit who accessed what, when and from where

Getting started

Request a project space via the Research Computing Portal.

Once you have a project space, you can access DaRIS with your University credentials. Local user accounts are also available for external collaborators.

Check out our user guides whenever you need help using the platform:
