Send Data via DICOM Transfer
DICOM data in DaRIS can be sent to a DICOM storeageSCP server using the DaRIS web portal. The destination DICOM server can be any DICOM server that implements the DICOM standard. It can be an external PACS or DaRIS instance or you can even sent the DICOM data to the same DaRIS server using this function.
Note that the transfer may not be encrypted. If sensitive data is to be sent, it is the responsibility of the receiver side to secure the traffic with a firewall and/or encrypt it with TLS.
Steps
- 1. Login to DaRIS web portal.
- 2. Select the source DICOM Subject/Study/DataSet you want to send.
- 3. Right click to open the context menu and select DICOM send
- 4. In DICOM send settings dialog,
- set Local AE title
- set Remote AE configuration (NOTE: The Remote AE can be the same DICOM AE/server)
- AE Title: VicNode
- Host Address: localhost
- Server Port: 6667
- If you are sending to a DaRIS server, and you know the destination project/subject id, and the configured DICOM element to carry the id, for example, we overrides Referring Physician's Name element to hold the DaRIS id.
- set Referring Physician's Name to the destination DaRIS project/subject id.
- Click Send* button to start transfer.
- 5. If data is sent to the same DaRIS server, it will appear in the web portal after the transfer is done.
