Data in DaRIS can be sent to the University's Mediaflux platform via the SFTP protocol. This can be done using the shopping cart utility in DaRIS web portal.

Users who have access to both the DaRIS and Mediaflux platforms can follow the instructions below to transfer data from DaRIS to UoM Mediaflux.

Select data sets and add to shopping cart

Log into DaRIS web portal, select the subjects/studies/datasets that you want to send to Mediaflux and add them to shopping cart. 

In the left side tree navigator, select the subject/study/dataset, mouse right-click to open the contact menu, then select "Add to shopping cart",

After the datasets are added to the shopping cart, select "Show active shopping cart..." from the top "Shopping Cart" menu bar,

The shopping cart window should pop up and show the datasets you've just added in the "Contents" tab.

Set shopping cart destination

In shopping cart window, activate "Settings" tab, then "Destination" tab, in "destination" field, select "sink:sftp2mediaflux", it should show the form below:

• in "username" field, fill in your University username in the form of domain/username,
  • unimelb/username for staff
  • student/username for student
• in "password" field, put your University password
• in "directory" field, put the destination path. For instance, if your Mediaflux project id is proj-demonstration-1128.4.15 , you need to enter Volumes/proj-demonstration-1128.4.15 

Submit the shopping cart to start transferring data to Mediaflux

After filling in all the required fields, you can click "Order" button at the bottom right of the window to submit the shopping cart. It will then start transferring the data to your project space in Mediaflux.
